Purpose of Counseling

Christ The Redeemer The Way Counseling and Healing Ministries, Inc. provides faith-based counseling services, emotional healing and discipleship through the integration of spiritual principles and Christian values with emotional and psychological support. Faith-based counseling is intended to facilitate personal growth, healing, and spiritual development through alignment with Christian principles, prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Nature of Services

Christ the Redeemer The Way Counseling and Healing Ministries, Inc. offers unique blend of Christ-centered counseling services, weaving elements of mental health therapeutic techniques, faith-based principles, application of Scripture, prayer, and emotional healing by the power of the Holy Spirit, to provide a custom-made approach to each client’s unique needs.  These faith-based counseling services are offered as a form of spiritual support and are not intended to replace professional medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, or financial advice or services.

Not a Substitute for Licensed Mental Health Therapy or Medical Treatment

Although the provider is a licensed mental health counselor, the services provided by Christ The Redeemer The Way Counseling and Healing Ministries, Inc. do not constitute professional clinical treatment. They are not intended to replace professional medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, or financial advice or services. Clients experiencing severe emotional distress, mental illness, addiction, or other conditions requiring professional treatment are encouraged to seek assistance from qualified licensed professionals. 

Confidentiality

All conversations with your counselor or prayer minister are held in confidence to the extent permitted by applicable law. All personal information gathered in the course of a ministry session is confidential, and the files are so maintained. However, information may be disclosed in certain situations, including, but not limited to, the following:

There is suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or vulnerable adult.

There is a clear and present danger of harm to yourself or others.

Legal authorities require disclosure.

Other situations where disclosure is required by law.

Technology Use

Christ The Redeemer The Way Counseling and Healing Ministries, Inc. will utilize technology including, but not limited to, Zoom and other video conferencing platforms. Christ The Redeemer The Way Counseling and Healing Ministries, Inc. is not responsible or otherwise liable for the use of this technology or any issues related to the privacy and security of such technology. None of the participants will record any session unless all participants agree to the same.

Acknowledgement 

By participating in counseling with Christ The Redeemer The Way Counseling and Healing Ministries, Inc. you acknowledge and agree to the following:

You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in faith-based counseling and/or emotional healing ministry.

You are at least 18 years of age.

Christ The Redeemer The Way Counseling and Healing Ministries, Inc., its counselors, prayer ministers, employees, volunteers, and other representatives (collectively “Christ The Redeemer The Way Counseling and Healing Ministries Parties”) shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your participation in counseling and/or healing services/ministry.

You agree to the terms of this Consent to Participation, Release of Liability, and Indemnification Agreement including the terms below.

Consent to Counseling, Communication by Email and Text Messages, and Release of Liability and Indemnification

I understand the above information concerning this ministry. I have sought this ministry of my own free will and am under no obligation to accept or reject any of the advice or help that I might receive from the team members of this ministry. All personal information I disclose is done so voluntarily in order to facilitate the counselor/prayer minister working with me.

IN CONSIDERATION FOR BEING GRANTED THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FAITH-BASED COUNSELING, I, FOR MYSELF, MY HEIRS, ASSIGNS, AND NEXT TO KIN, DO HEREBY RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS THE Christ The Redeemer The Way Counseling and Healing Ministries, Inc. Parties FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, LIABIILITIES, LOSSES, DAMAGES, INJURIES, OR COSTS, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, AttorneyS’ FEES, THAT MAY ARISE OUT OF OR THAT MAY IN ANY WAY BE RELEATED TO SUCH PARTICIPATION, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF ANY OF THE Christ The Redeemer The Way Counseling and Healing Ministries, Inc. Parties OR OTHERWISE. IN SUBMITTING THIS RELEASE, I ACKNOWLEDGE AND REPRESENT THAT I HAVE BEEN FULLY INFORMED OF THE CONTENT OF THIS CONSENT TO PARTICIPATION, RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT (“AGREEMENT”), THAT I HAVE REVIEWED IT AND UNDERSTAND WHAT IT MEANS AND THAT I HAVE SIGNED THIS AGREEMENT WITH FULL CONSENT. THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE BINDING UPON MY HEIRS, EXECUTORS, ADMINISTRATORS, AND ASSIGNS IN THE EVENT OF MY PERSONAL INJURY, INCLUDING DEATH. 

I also consent to receiving email and text message communications from Christ The Redeemer The Way Counseling and Healing Ministries, Inc. to assist in the coordination of my ministry session, provide any additional resources as needed, and help facilitate my care.
